LOOKING AFTER YOUR COURTS
COURTS 4, 5, & 6 MUST BE DAMP OR WATERED BEFORE PLAY

Courts 4, 5 & 6 are en tout cas or porous clay courts. It is of the utmost importance that these courts are maintained properly before play. This involves sufficient watering before play and after each set (when hitting every 30mins) and bagging of courts after each set and at end of play, before you leave the court.

Classic Clay courts 1, 2, & 3 are to be bagged after each set and at the end of play.
BASIC WATERING GUIDELINES
If it is particularly dry and or windy, then the courts will require a substantial watering before play to ensure the court is damp, a light sprinkle is not sufficient. They must be watered at the start of play and every 30mins of play. When watering the court, you want to make sure you give the court a thorough, uniform watering. A properly watered court will keep the clay from drying up and cracking. If we don't look after our tennis courts there wont be any court to play on. If you are unsure of what a proper watering is – please ask a Committee member.
USE OF COURTS
Competition tennis and organized social events take precedence over social play. During hours of social play, doubles takes precedence over singles play, and the use of a court is limited to half an hour when other members are waiting. This must be strictly adhered to.
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
Members may play in the Clubs Annual Club Championships. (Note – Restricted members are not eligible.)
